A Roman bronze figure of Hercules
Circa 1st Century A.D.
The bearded hero standing looking to his left, his right hand clenched behind his back, his left arm resting on his club over which is draped the lion's pelt, tang under the right foot, 2¼in. (5.8cm.) high excl. tang; a bronze figure of a standing woman wearing a chiton with himation draped over her left shoulder, around her waist and over her left arm, her right hand on her hip, her left extended and holding a fruit(?), mounted, 3in. (7.6cm.) high; and a bronze figure of a hound or wolf with head raised up and coat in chevrons along the spine, lower legs missing, mounted, 3 1/8in. (8cm.) long, both 1st-2nd Century A.D. (3)
