Circa 3rd-2nd Century B.C.
Of characteristically stylized form, the flattened face with eyes, nose and open slit-like mouth indicated, with small ears and thick conical neck
12in. (30.5cm.) high
Provenance
Found while ploughing a field near the village of Hauxwell, Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, and given to the present owner's father in the 1930's.
