A Persian bronze spear-head
Early 1st millennium B.C.
The long triangular blade with central mid-rib, decorated with incised zigzags and short hatching, the socket with crosshatching, two rivet holes near the base and band of encircling lines, 20 3/8in. (51.8cm.) long; and the upper half of an Old Babylonian terracotta plaque with a deity in profile to the right wearing horned headdress, mounted, circa 1850-1650 B.C., 3 x 2½in. (7.7 x 6.4cm.) (2)
