Each with gadrooned and geometrically-banded flaring cup above a beeded band and spreading gadrooned foot, on a shaped triangular base surmounted by pagoda-shaped finials, on fluted and gadrooned column-supports above a circular stepped foot with geometrically engraved circular medallions to the top and fluted and beaded sides

Lot Essay

A pair of Anglo-Indian ivory vases with similar spiral carving was sold from the collection of Robert H. Metzger, Sotheby's New York, 27 October 1995, lot 177.
