The first of conventional type in sponged green and ochre frock-coat, striped waistcoat and blue breeches (extensively repaired round hat, stained), 9in. (23cm.) high; the second with a baluster yellow jug of frothing ale, brown frock-coat, green waistcoat and iron-red breeches, a pipe between his feet (chips to hat and base, some flaking to enamels), 8¾in.
