A crested oval flat-cut two-handled butter-dish and stand Circa 1790
Engraved with the crest of a dragon holding an arrow and an escutcheon above a torse and the monogram C within a band of flutes and ovals and above a band of facets, with star-cut base, the stand with similar decoration beneath a waved rim (chips to handles and to rims)
The stand 7¾in. (19.5m.) wide
Lot Essay
The crest is that of Cole as borne by the Earls of Enniskillen.
