Of basket form with basket-weave sides and base, with corded borders and handle, fitted with various gold and turquoise instruments comprising, a desk seal formed as an ivory hand clasping a baton, a cut-glass scent bottle, a thimble, a pen-kife with steel blade, a bodkin, a pair of scissors, an embroidery needle, a pair of tweezers, a hinged ruler, a propelling pencil and a miniature calendar for 1827 in the form of a book, the mounts engine-turned and chased with flowers and foliage, the basket marked on base, the fittings unmarked
