cover 1916-17 an interesting correspondence (and a few ancilliary items) comprising envelopes (without letters) and postcards (over 140 items ) from one Victor Edwards (former Vice-Counsul at Rostov) who volunteered to assist the Russians in their fight against the advancing Germans, many to his wife, with various frankings and cancellations (including T.P.Os) and showing a wide range of censorship handstamps also including a number of interesting topographical postcards, many of the envelopes have faults or defects. The lot is accompanied by a newspaper article featuring the correspondence which was terminated by the death of the writer in September 1917
