Nock 'screwless' flintlock with Nock patent breech, the lock signed 'H. Nock', the breech engraved 'H. Nock Patent', the barrel, for ease of loading on horse-back, rifled to within approximately six inches of the muzzle and thereafter smooth-bore, the whole gun in the style of a Baker rifle, with brass-mounts, the lock with single screw, rearsight, full-length groove for ramrod, with provision for a socket bayonet
