This beautiful carriage was built by the American coachbuilders Moline Plow Co., of Freeport, Illinois, in 1897. It was motorised in 1910 with a Lauren single cylinder engine and features a single speed chain drive to the rear wheels.
The carriage is in exceedingly original and excellent condition throughout, having remained in the same American family ownership for ninety one years. It retains its original black leather which is in excellent condition and the coachwork is finished in matching black. Featuring centre-tiller steering, coach lamps and solid tyres, this very original vehicle is an interesting combination from the Victorian/Edwardian period.
