The first production Buick appeared in 1903, a horizontal twin with overhead valves, followed by four cylinder cars and the famous "square" 20hp of 1908. In October of that year Buick was bought by General Motors.

By 1915 Buick production had reached 44,000 cars a year, and Buick made virtually all its own parts. Apart from the four cylinder cars of 1909, all had overhead valve engines. The six cylinder engine was introduced in 1914 and post war the profitable 3.9 litre sixes and 2.8 litre fours helped to keep the struggling General Motors afloat, front wheel brakes being standardised in 1924.

The eight cylinder Buick was introduced on July 26th 1930 and remained a hallmark until 1953. The "Series 90" was powered by the 344ci engine and had a wheelbase of 132" which enabled the large seven seat touring phaeton coachwork to be fitted, as on offer today. The Buick eight cylinder was an advanced engine of the period and featured an oil temperature regulator that cooled the oil at high speeds and warmed it in cold weather.

This particular "Model 95" is finished in blue and black with black wings and has a black leather interior. The car is in very original condition and has spent most of its life in the dry climate of Argentina. It is sold requiring some restoration although the panelwork is good and straight and the engine is hoped to be running by the time of the sale.

It is sold in free circulation in the EC and Without Reserve.
