Banded overall in satinwood and with ebony lines, the arched crest with bowed angles above two shallow bands and two glazed doors with egg-and-dart moulding, enclosing three adjustable shelves, above the later secretaire drawer with green baize-lined writing-surface and two pigeon-holes and four drawers, above two panelled doors enclosing one shelf and on a later rectangular mahogany plinth, adapted, the base section extended in depth, the upper section previously fitted, with depository label inscribed 'SIMKIN'S DEPOSITORY, COLCHESTER MRS. WHEELER'
