Cross and feather-banded overall, the rectangular top above a sloping fall-front, enclosing a fitted interior of small drawers and pigeon holes around a central mirror-glazed drawer, flanked by a pair of secret drawers simulated as book-spines and inscribed in gold paint 'R.P. 1737', with a green leather-lined writing-surface and concealed well, the lower section with two short and three long graduated drawers, on bracket feet
