Presumably the model for R. Havell's colour aquatint in Lieut.-Col. G.A.F. Fitzclarence, Journal of a route across Indian, through Egypt, to England, London, 1819, plate 4 (which includes another camel and is titled 'Rocket Corps and Dromedary Corps./Bengal Army; 1817'). Fitzclarence's Journal gives an account of his journey from India to England in 1817-18 whilst carrying despatches. The author was the eldest son of William IV by Mrs Jordan, served as aide-de-camp to Hastings in India in 1816-17 and became first Earl of Munster in June 1831.
