The pillar plate on its surface behind the dial has the framemaker's punch mark E & J.M.. The dial originally had the Government Mark within the seconds dial but this has been removed by rear-hammering - this would have been done in accordance with R.G.O. instruction by the purchaser once it was taken off their charge. It is scratchmakred u/c & 800 P&B am 801. There are also indications of engraver's corrections/alterations to the cover behind the address 59 Gracechurch Street.
