A St Louis sulphide goblet and a Baccarat sulphide tumbler
Circa 1855
The first with a faceted bowl enamelled in colours on silver and gilt foil with the badge of the Mèdaille Militaire pendant from a gilt eagle and green and orange ribbon on a raised oblong octagonal panel, on a faceted knopped stem and cut foot, 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) high; the tumbler with the crowned Badge of the Legion d'Honor on gilt foil on a raised oval panel, the sides with polished and fluted oval bosses (rim slightly reduced, slight bruising to edges of bosses), 3 3/4in. (9.5cm.) high
