A Chelsea fable-decorated octagonal teapot and a cover
Circa 1755, red anchor mark beneath handle
Painted in the manner of Jefferyes Hammett O'Neale with the fable of the Fox that Lost Its Tail, the slightly domed cover with flower finial and painted with flower-sprays (teapot broken into three sections and re-stuck, spout broken and re-stuck, piece lacking to rim, hairline cracks, cover extensively repaired and riveted)
