A Naples (Reale Fabbrica Ferdinandea) Coffee-can and a saucer
Circa 1790, indistinct incised marks
The cylindrical can with gilt angular handle, painted with three Muses within rectangular panels divided by bands of star within circle ornament, the interior with bands of foliage; the saucer with a scantily draped classical male warrior holding a sword and a staff within two concentric bands of dot within circle ornament (handle repaired, the saucer with very slight rubbing to gilding and very slight stain to centre) (2)
