A Paris composite part dinner-service
Circa 1820, 1840 and 1900
Painted in iron-red and gilt with single animals and birds within pale-apricot borders gilt with myrtle between gilt lines with pendant husks, comprising:
An oviform two-handled ice-pail (foot restuck, minute rim chips)
Two oval two-handled sauce-tureens, covers and fixed stands
A pierced flared circular two-handled basket (one handle a restored replacement)
Two pierced oval stands
A navette-shaped stand
Three shaped square dishes
Forty-four dessert-plates of which nine are later replacements (seven cracked, one with an associated restored rim chip and another with a rim chip, some minor rubbing to gilding)
Seven coffee-cups and saucers (one cup with handle restored, another with restored rim chip, two saucers chipped)
Five custard-cups and covers of bucket form without animals (one with rim chip)
Six large dinner-plates without animals
- some dessert-plates with script L L Dagoty à Paris marks in iron-red, some coffee-cups with deleted Perrier à Paris marks, one custard-cup with Perrier rue de Bac 54 mark and one saucer with printed Ed. Honoré mark
