A Berlin Dated Armorial Cabinet-Cup and Saucer
1839, blue sceptre and KPM mark, Pressnummer 28 to saucer
The cup of cylindrical form, with flared rim, high handle and on three gilt paw feet, painted with an eagle with spread wings before six flags and a blue ribbon inscribed in gilt Colberg. 18, perched on a Gothic stone plinth with five crowned Armorial shields, the saucer inscribed with lieutenants in the army and Potsdam im Fahre 1839. within double gilt lines, the border with a broad gilt band (restoration to one paw foot and to front of cup, slight rubbing)
