A Meissen Armorial kakiemon baluster oil-pot and cover
Circa 1735-40, blue crossed swords mark
Painted with flowering branches of peony and chrysanthemum, the Arms in purpurmalerei with a shield enclosed by foliage-scroll mantling and surmounted by a plumed helmet beneath the spout, both the fluted spout and triple scroll handle enriched in purpurmalerei, the cover with indianische Blumen, pine-cone finial and brown line rim (slight chip to rim of cover)
