Two Meissen figures of Turkish musicians
Circa 1745, he with traces of blue crossed swords mark
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, he in yellow and white turban, turquoise jacket, gilt-tasselled pink sash, his shirt with indianische Blumen, his guitar beneath his left arm, she in white headdress, turquoise sash, her gilt-edged coat with indianische Blumen, playing the mandolin, both with white pantaloons and yellow shoes, standing on mound bases applied with flowers (he with restoration to fingers of right hand, she with restoration to fingers of both hands and to neck of instruments, both with minor chipping to foliage and extremities)
