A Pair of Meissen figures of Harlequin and Columbine
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks at back
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, he in puce conical hat, white jacket with gilt edging, brown breeches and yellow shoes, she in turquoise hat, white bodice and striped turquoise, iron-red, puce and yellow skirt, he playing the bagpipes and she the hurdy-gurdy, both seated on rockwork mound bases applied with foliage (his right little finger and end of pipes restored, chip to one rosette, minute chip to his hat, restoration to her hat and one side of her left hand, her little left finger lacking, slight flaking to her skirt, minor chips to leaves)
