A Meissen figure of a Drunken Peasant
Circa 1740, the decoration perhaps later
Modelled by J.J. Kändler vigorously dancing with his left arm raised to his black hat, a mug of ale in his right hand, in green jacket, white shirt, pink breeches with yellow ribbons and black shoes with yellow rosettes, before a tree-stump with his left leg raised on a mound base applied with coloured flowers (slight restoration to back and hem of jacket, slight chips to flowers and foliage)
