Mixed Franking
cover 1842 (26 Feb.), a remarkable large part entire from the Cox correspondence sent from Ipswich to the United States, bearing BI-CK block of six in a rich deep shade and a plate 1 single lettered SK in a fine pale shade, margins all round (BK just touched at top), neatly cancelled and additionally tied by American arrival datestamp; the adhesives lifted to reduce staining and replaced, the cover with lower and right flaps missing and re-inforced along perimeter splits but still fine, very attractive and an extremely rare combination of mixed franking and overseas destination. B.P.A. Certificate (1996). Photo
