Provenance
The owner's great aunt Miss Cockerell went to Florence circa 1900 to study jewellery making and produced several pieces which Queen Victoria purchased and gave to Princess Alexandra. Miss Cockerell was great friends to Queen Victoria's lady-in-waiting and there are photocopies of letters accompanying this lot to substantiate their relationship
