Stehender männlicher Akt

The present work is a study for Mueller's major oil Zwei Jünglinge und zwei Mädchen of 1918, now in the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, in which the figure appears at the centre of the composition (see L.-G. Buchheim, Otto Mueller Leben und Werk, Munich, 1963, no. 71).
