Concerning the game of chess, Arabic manuscript on polished buff paper, 23ff. plus 4 flyleaves, each with 27ll. neat green maghribi, various phrases in gold, titles in bolder gold, numerous diagrams of boards and details thererof in gold within the text, pages darkening at edges, very slight water stains in margins, colophon at end signed by 'Abd al-Karim b. Muhammad al-Nasikh al-Hanbali al-Ba'li and dated 9th Safar 1093, Ottoman light tan morocco binding with stamped medallion and borders, slight splitting, staining and scuffing
