A commentary on the Qur'an, Arabic manuscript on ivory coloured paper, 380ff. each with 31ll. of neat black naskh, many phrases in red, chapter headings in gold thuluth on blue or red cartouches within gold and polychrome spandrels, red and gold margins within blue rules, very good condition, opening bifolio with fine gold and polychrome illuminated margins and heading, one tear and slight restoration, final folio with colophon dated 1264, signed by Muhammad Sadiq b. Shaikh Muhammad Yusuf, in red lacquer binding with gold stamped ogival cartouches and gold floral design, black and gold lacquer doublures, chipped and worn at corners
