Lot Essay

This calligraphy is a chronogrammatic Persian quatrain, composed by Nawab Mir Qutb al-Din 'Ali Khan Behadur, giving the date of the death of the Nawab Azam Jang's wife as 1389 Fasli (correspoding to 1369 of the Hijra year).
