Of gently swelling rounded form with straight neck on short foot and with domed cover, the body of the jug with deep-cut swirling flutes below a plain band with inscription, the neck with similar fluting inclined in the opposite direction, the rim with plain bands, the lid also fluted in same direction as the body surmounted by a plainer knop engraved with floral design and attached to the ear-shaped handle by a hinge, considerable loss of gilding, dent
