Lot Essay

Louisa, fifth daughter of the 1st Baron Decies, married first in 1806 Thomas Hope of Deepede (died 1831) and secondly in 1832 William, Viscount Beresford.
George Dawe's oil on canvas portrait was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1812.
