Lot Essay

Brigg Price (died 1825), only son of Elizabeth Clent and Captain William Price was the great-nephew of Sir Andrew Fountaine (see lots 133 and 135) through his maternal line. He assumed by act of Parliament the surname and arms of Fountaine. He married Mary, only daughter of George Hogge, of Lynn Regis in 1769 and left with issue their only son, Andrew Fountaine.
