Lot Essay

Princess Eulalia of Saxony (1735-1782), Princess-Abbess of Remiremont in Belgium, was the seventh surviving child of Elector Frederick Augustus II of Saxony (King Augustus III of Poland) and a sister of Clemens Wenceslas, Elector of Trier (see lot 192). A grand-daughter of Augustus the Strong, she was also an aunt of King Frederick Augustus I of Saxony (see lot 169).
