Four various Worcester dishes
Circa 1770, the first with hatched seal mark, the second with script W mark
The first possibly painted by the same hand as the preceding in the atelier of James Giles in iron-red with vignettes of exotic buildings in landscapes within shaped panels reserved on a blue-scale-ground (three restored chips and crack), 7½in. (19cm.) diam.; the second similarly decorated, 9in. (23cm.) diam.; the third a reeded dish painted in puce with continuous garlands of fruiting-vine, 8 3/8in. (21cm.) diam; the last a green-ground dish with a gilt-border, 7in. (18cm.) diam. (4)
