Octagonal and with incurved corners, on moulded rim foot and with scroll handle, plain thumbpiece, hinged domed cover and ball finial, engraved with bands of bright-cut foliage and a laurel wreath enclosing a crest, marked on side and cover, with blue glass liner and fiddle pattern mustard spoon, with maker's mark of Thomas Cox Savory, London, 1828
