Half-titles, first blank in vol.III, engraved portraits of Louis XIV and the author, 493 full-page engraved illustrations, many incorporating views of buildings and gardens in France, Italy, Spain and England, final errata leaf in vol.I and final blank in vol.IV. (Some leaves rather soiled, a few marginal tears.) Contemporary calf, gilt spines in compartments (slightly rubbed, slight wear at extremities). Berlin Kat. 1731; Cohen-de Ricci 763-674.
