A French ormolu-mounted mahogany commode a vanteaux
In the Louis XVI style, After the model by Stockel and Benneman, Late 19th Century
The white marble top with rounded corners and moulded edge, above three frieze drawers, above a pair of cupboard doors centred by a ribbon-tied roundel depicting a bacchante and infant satyr, the interior with six drawers, each side centred by a similar smaller roundel within a square moulded panel and flanked by fluted columnar uprights with capital, on toupie feet
