Cartouche-shaped, the cover printed and painted with a Pierrot figure standing between a man with a stringed instrument and a lady in outoor attire in the manner of Watteau, the white ground sides and base with brightly coloured flowers, with channelled gilt-metal mounts and shaped thumbpiece
