Oblong, the hinged cover printed and painted with figures tending their flocks by architectural ruins, with small vignettes of sheep in the angles, the sides with figures in landscape cartouches, all reserved in raised gold cartouches on a deep blue ground with white dotted trelliswork, the compartmented interior with two glass bottles with enamel caps en suite, with corded gilt-metal mounts
