The handle and sides Amsterdam, 1798, maker's mark probably that of Diederik Willem Rethmeyer, the centre possibly later, with indistinct marks
Oval, the pierced gallery sides with reeded border and beaded rim, with two bracket handles, the centre engraved with bands of entwined foliage and foliate scrolls and later with a coat-of-arms, marked on sides, the handles with later Dutch tax marks, the reverse with indistinct marks
