The oval teapot with curved spout and hinged domed cover with part-wood finial, the plain oval teapot stand on four bracket feet and with reeded rim, each engraved with bands of bright-cut foliage, the teapot engraved twice with a foliate cartouche and the initials JEC, the stand similarly engraved once, marked on stand, teapot base and cover
