Decorated in gold, silver and iroe hiramakie, takamakie togidashi, kirigane, hirame, okibirame and aogai inlays, inside cover with the bridge over Uji River and a willow tree, inside box and inner case similarly decorated with jakago and reeds along the river bank on nashiji ground and containing a silver suiteki modelled as a boat with bundles of faggots, an ink slate and a cake, a paper knife, a gimlet and two unused writing brushes, silver rims
