Three chaire
Late Edo Period, (19th Century)
A rectangular chaire with a dark brown glaze over a beige body and ivory cover, another in a rich tea coloured and white splashed glaze, signed Matsukazu kyu, ivory cover (crack to finial) and one with a controlled glaze on the shoulder over a grey body, a turning mark, ivory cover (old repair to cover), illegible seal
8.7cm., 4.9cm. and 6.8cm. high (3)
Provenance
The first: Van Hoorn Collection, no. 1001?, paper label no. 53 with note "53 Tokuzan (?) Tokio about 1850 Prof. Morse Matsuya says must be Tokuzan good piece June '97"
