The blade honzukuri, iorimune with chu-gissaki, bo-hi to both sides, torii-zori, forging pattern tight itame with suguha, suguha-boshi of ko-nie tang suriage with two holes, 71.2cm.; encased in raden scabbard decorated with black lacquer mon of ishidatami [stone slate] with tachi kanagu of shibuichi and gilt en suite carved with stylized foliage, cotton wrapped tsuka with brass menuki of three Shimazu kutsuwa mon, an iron mokkogata tsuba decorated with Idaten and oni among clouds in iroe takazogan, 19th Century
