The latter related to another secretaire bearing the label of S. Jamar (d.1826) and inscribed 'Jamar French/CABINET MAKER: Manufactures all sorts of FRENCH FURNITURE in the most fashionable manner 29, WARDOUR STREET, SOHO' (sold by Sir Antony Hornby in these Rooms, 19 November 1970, lot 46).
