The first made in one piece with roped comb of medium height and narrow brim with turned roped edge, upturned and pointed fore and aft, the skull encircled by holes for lining rivets (missing), and iron plume-holder at the rear; the second made in one piece, with almond-shaped skull with small 'stalk' at the top, narrow downturned brim with plain turn along the edge, and the base of the skull encircled by lining-rivets with brass rosette-shaped washers
