A German black and white composite half-armour
circa 1560
Comprising burgonet with two-piece skull made in one with pointed neck-guard and fall, hinged cheek-pieces (replaced), and plume-holder, almain-collar (top plates missing at front and rear) with elbow-length spaudlers, breast-plate with prominent central projection, back-plate, and rectangular tassets of six plates each, the main edges turned and partly roped, the surfaces decorated throughout with bright raised bands and borders
