With rebrowned twist sighted barrel octagonal changing to polygonal at the breech, turned at the girdle and signed in full on the top flat, case-hardened breech finely engraved with a duck, platinum lines and pierced platinum plug, case-hardened tang engraved with scrolling foliage, signed scroll engraved lock decorated with pheasants in a landscape, ebonised bird's eye maple half-stock, chequered grip, iron mounts engraved with foliage, dogs and pheasants, vacant border engraved gold escutcheon, horn fore-end cap, and original brass-mounted ramrod: in original figured walnut case lined in green velvet with some accessories including leather shot-belt and Hawksley flask, the lid with trade label, the outside with flush-fitting carrying handle, London proof marks
