With sighted etched twist octagonal barrel swamped at the muzzle, inlaid in silver with dots and interlaced scrollwork, and retained by five embossed silver bands, the tang overlaid with embossed silver, characteristic lock struck with a mark, three-quarter stock almost entirely covered with shaped mother-of-pearl plaques (a few missing), the butt divided by silver bands, silver mounts cast and chased with scrollwork in relief, silver sling mounts, and original iron ramrod
